As soon as the first practical automobile was built in 1886 by Carl Benz, competition began over range, speed, comfort, style, safety and technological features, price and other aspects. The car has never been solely about getting from A to B. These pages focus on design - the most beautiful cars ever made. Some of them I have been fortunate to own, but most I have enjoyed at museums and concours d'elegance around the world.
